  • Radkin Honzák, Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist & Writer

    Marta Nováková

    Radkin Honzák studied medicine at the Charles University in Prague. He specializes in psychotherapy and is a supporter of psychosomatic approach. At present he works as a doctor in the Medical Centre IKEM, as secondary physician at the Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice and he also gives lectures at the Institute of General Medical Practice at the Charles University.

    Regularly he comments on the current social affairs, writes blogs and lectures. He is an author of several popular-educational books on psychology. In 2014 the book of his interviews was published, called “We all live in a mental institution: the present time through the eyes of a psychiatrist”.

  • Jindřich Šídlo, Commentator, Seznam Zprávy

    Petra Průšová

    Jindřich graduated from journalism at the Faculty of social sciences at Charles University and since he has been working for 25 years in media. For nine years he worked for the weekly magazine Respekt, several years he was a member of the editorial staff of the journal Mladá fronta DNES, and later a managing editor of domestic news at Hospodarske noviny (daily economic newspaper). He also managed the newsroom of the Czech Television and worked as its main political analyst. In 2016, he moved to emerging video newsroom on the internet portal Seznam Zprávy. At Seznam he also produces a regular satirical show Happy Monday of Jindřich Šídlo.

    His journalistic work has won numerous awards, among others the Award of Ferdinand Peroutka or the journalist award in the category of Best commentary.

  • Jan Binar, President, Association of Communications Agencies

    Tim Mason

    After Jan graduated from University of Economics in Prague, he took on the position of account executive at McCann Erickson Prague. Then he gained an experience also in the Department of customer services, strategic planning and creative department. In 2004, he became the Executive Director of the McCann company.

    Under his leadership, the company grew and today belongs to the best and largest communication groups in Prague, working for local clients, as well as preparing regional and global campaigns. In the last five years no other agency has received so many awards for effectiveness of client campaigns as McCann. McCann also regularly wins in contests of creativity and can be proud of a gold price from Cannes Lions. Jan Binar gives also lectures at the University of Economics or Charles University.

    Since 2010 Jan is the President of the Association of communications agencies and in 2016 he became the President of Edcom – European Association of educational institutions in the field of commercial communications.

    Roman Janovič

    Jon Howell is the commercial lead for Meridian and ALE (Analytics Location Engine) in EMEA. He has over 15 years of experience in Wi-Fi, Location Based Services and Monetisation and is passionate about customer success. His role covers customer and channel enablement and support around all Mobile Engagement solutions.

  • Pavel Vrtiška, Chief Data Officer, RETAILTrek/ ePurse Group

    Michal Tomčík

    Pavel Vrtiška studied business and management at the University of Economics in Prague. For eight years he worked at Hewlett-Packard Company, where he led projects focused on data optimization and reporting automation. Now he is dedicated to innovative projects in the field of digital technologies. He is one of the founders of the Vissto company focused on data visualization. He runs regular workshops on effective visualization and optimization of the data. As Chief Data Officer in the project RetailTrek belonging to the ePurse Group portfolio, he helps to bring a unique solution in the field of proximity marketing and analysis of customer behaviour to the market.

  • Miroslav Lukeš, Managing Director CR and SR, Mastercard

    Miroslav Lukeš

    Miroslav Lukeš is a CEO for CR and Slovakia in Mastercard Europe. Before that, he worked at McKinsey & Company, where he led the marketing and business projects for leading companies in financial services, telecommunications and high-tech. He graduated from finance, IT management and economy at University of economics in Prague and MBA program at INSEAD in France.

  • Albrecht Hornbach, Chairman of the Board, HORNBACH Management AG

    Martin Veselovský

    Albrecht Hornbach is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HORNBACH Baumarkt AG since 2009. At the same time he is the Chairman of the Board of Management of HORNBACH AG, which manages and represents the stores of the parent company (Hornbach Holding AG and co. KGaA). As a qualified construction engineer, he joined the family company in the year 1991, when he took over the responsibility for the development of new stores (construction and equipment).

    Andrej Babiš

    Since 2014 Espen B. Larsen is the CEO of Penny Market in the Czech Republic. Thanks to a number of innovations in the area of operation and store concept development Penny Czech Republic has become No. 1 revenue REWE Company in the non-German speaking world. Espen Larsen is a true international, he has studied at universities in France, Germany, Russia and Japan, and is fluent in a great number of languages. He started his professional career in BMW and Deutsche Bank, before becoming a top manager of retail. Before coming to the Czech Republic, he was the CEO of Penny Market in Italy and the Country Manager of ALDI in Denmark.

  • Karel Týra, Managing Director, Nielsen CR & SR

    Andrej Babiš

    Since joining Nielsen ten years ago, Karel Týra has held a number of commercial roles in the company. His previous positions at Nielsen include Client Business Partner and Client Service Director. From 2012 to 2015 he served as Commercial Director of Nielsen Slovakia and in the middle of 2016 he was appointed to the role of Managing Director of Nielsen Czech Republic and Slovakia.

    Miroslav Hošek

    Has graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and the Swiss Banking School in Zurich. More than 20 years he has been working at ČSOB bank, the last 5 years as a member of the Board of Directors. He was the Senior Executive Director of Corporate Banking, Customer Relationships, and later he managed the Investments and Financial markets. Since 2015 he was responsible for Specialized Banking and Insurance, and in March 2017 he was appointed to be in charge of the transformation, innovations, digital channels, IT, BI, back-office, payments, cards and consumer finance.

  • Grant Liversage, General Director, Plzeňský Prazdroj

    Dana Zadražilová

    Grant joined Plzeňský Prazdroj and Pivovary Topvar (its sister company in Slovakia) as Managing Director in September 2017. His entire professional career of more than 30 years is closely linked to the beer industry. He started in South African Breweries (later to become SABMiller) in the position of a Finance Director for Swaziland. He then moved through different roles in finance management up to the post of a Managing Director at the company’s business units in Ghana, Mozambique and India. In late 2014 Grant made his return to South Africa to take up the position of Chief Financial Officer at SABMiller’s South African business. Grant is a true international businessman and the Czech Republic is his ninth work location on a third continent.

  • Tomáš Formánek, Partner, Logio

    Tomáš Drtina

    Tomas is a co-owner of Logio Company that attempts to prevent waste in companies. Logio is building a unified platform for the solution of the whole supply chain, called Supply Chain Love. A part of the platform, which is in particular based on a single common forecast process for the entire chain or company, is a new area that deals with the optimal prices of products and the correct composition of product portfolio. These two areas are among the very touchy and hottest topics not only in the Czech and Slovak companies. It is a challenge for every retailer and manufacturer.

    Zdeněk Skála

    Peter graduated from the managerial and economic faculty of MZL University in Brno. In 2007, he became the co-founder of Partners, where he holds the position of the Chairman of the Board. He started to specialize in the retail with top quality food as he sees it as big challenge. The idea came up on his trips to abroad, where he got inspired primarily by the American chain Whole Foods Market. The target of Sklizeno (= Harvested) is explained in the philosophy of the chain: "We believe that everyone has the possibility to eat well."

  • Jan Vraný, Commercial Director, Notino

    Stanislav Zrcek

    Since 2017 he has become a Commercial Director of the company Notino, the largest European e-tailer in the field of beauty. Before, he worked as a Commercial Director of the Czech Google, at McKinsey & Company, the investment bank Morgan Stanley, or in fast moving consumer goods giant Procter&Gamble. He studied MBA at the London Business School and graduated from Economics at Masaryk University in Brno.

  • David Vejtruba, Marketing Director, Solvent ČR

    Jitka Dvořáková

    After graduating from the University of Chemical Technology in Prague, he began to work in marketing, first at the position of Brand Manager, then Marketing Director in the company Nutricia. In 2012 he has moved to the position of Marketing Director at P.K. Solvent. He is responsible for the management of retail stores under the brands Teta, Top drogerie and chain of pharmacies Teta and sLé He stands behind the company's long-term strategy and marketing communication and controls strategy of private labels and loyalty systems in all retail formats of the company.

  • Pavel Jiruše, Retail Solution Specialist, Microsoft

    Pavel Jiruše graduated from Information Technology at the University of Economics in Prague, and for almost 20 years he has been applying this knowledge in our market. He has worked in companies Oracle, Arbes Technologies, S&T and SAP, since the year 2014 he is working as a Solution Specialist at Microsoft. He has many years of experience with managing consultants in the field of Business Intelligence, now he specializes in the analysis of data on sales and customers from the public Microsoft cloud services.

  • Martin Rys, Competency Leader, ADASTRA

    Sergey Chaplin

    Martin Rys is an experienced expert in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, who has gained the skills in companies Eurotel Praha (now O2), Adastra and Microsoft. Since 2016 he is the Competency Leader in Adastra, dealing with research of prospective trends and technologies and their application in practice. Together with his team he designs and implements efficient IoT scenarios for different segments, including retail or shopping centres. He is the co-author of the unique project "Next Generation Store" – the store that is a physical simulation of a real retail outlet using the IoT technologies to maximize the retail business potential and to improve the customer experience.
